Responding to the Adhan

اذان کا جواب دینے کا طریقہ

When the Mu'adhin (caller to prayer) says the Adhan, the listener should repeat the same words as the Mu'adhin, except for when the Mu'adhin says:

"حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ" (Come to prayer) "حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ" (Come to success)

In response to these phrases, the listener should say:

"لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ"

(There is no power and no might except with Allah).

جب مؤذن اذان دے تو سامع کو مؤذن کے الفاظ دہرانے چاہئیں، سوائے

"حَیَّ عَلَی الصَّلَاۃِ" اور "حَیَّ عَلَی الْفَلَاحِ" کے،

ان کے جواب میں کہنا چاہیے
"لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ"

Dua After the Adhan

اذان کے مکمل ہونے کے بعد دعا

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ۔

O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad (ﷺ) the intercession and favor, and raise him to the praiseworthy station You have promised him.

اے اللہ! اس کامل پکار اور قائم ہونے والی نماز کے رب! محمد (ﷺ) کو وسیلہ اور فضیلت عطا فرما اور انہیں اس مقام محمود پر پہنچا جس کا تو نے ان سے وعدہ کیا ہے۔
